Jackson Owens was born in New Zealand, now lives in Melbourne, Australia, he had been singing since a child at 10 years old with being influenced by his family who are very musically talented such as his Dad and his Sister with being heavily influenced by R&B Soul all his life.

Early in his life he made the first trip overseas as a musician when he was just 12 years old and he qualified for the 2010 World Championships of Performing Arts held in Los Angeles, California, he received a gold medal, two silvers, and a plaque for winning the under-16 vocal category.

After the competition in LA, he returned to New Zealand, but then he was more eager with a lot of ambition to keep pushing his singing forward, so began posting videos of himself doing more cover versions on YouTube & Socials which went viral. Over the time he had been approached about more opportunities such as being a pop singer, also handpicked for a pop trio by former Backstreet Boys producer Timothy Coons due to the strength of his YouTube videos which his fanbase grew drastically but the goal was always to be a solo R&B Soul artist and launch down under.

Jackson had performed a few major shows in the US over the time he lived there but this wasn’t his only experience in front of large crowds,  the year before, he’d opened for a number artist such as Stan Walker and the pair have continued to perform together over the years, also performed for Six60 and Sons Of Zion. Recently played at shows/ festivals with over 50,000 in New Zealand & Australia such as Xmas in the Park @ the Domain, Bay Dreams Festival, Home Grown, One Love and many more.

Now teamed up with Ginnen Group Music Management with Zen Ginnen as his manager, currently working with amazing producers on his anticipated debut R&B/Soul Album.   Jackson grew up on a lot of old School R&B/Soul around his Grandfather such as Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder and now being heavily influenced by the new wave of R&B Soul such as John Legend, Allen Stone, Daniel Cesar, Khalid and so many more as the genre has become popular again with the younger generation, so it only made sense that this was his lane and to stick with it.

Beside Jacksons good looks and likeable real personality, his fans are captivated by watching him perform each time but more because of his voice which shines through as it is unique and has a matured soulful tone at such a young age of 22, which should be shared with the world…stay tuned.
